Home for the weekend

This weekend consisted of:

Over hyped weather forecasts

Dwight with a sweater

And my Aunt Jesse's 80th birthday

Wood cuts and Apples

Photo 1:
Recently I have been consumed with wood cutting. I have already carve two new blocks to print and once I get more woodblocks I will surely take off again. Here is one my very first prints I made this new year.

Photo 2:
Since I am so busy with projects for my classes I haven't really had time to draw just for me. I finally had a chance this weekend to produce a drawing that I like.

Different

This painting is different from what I normally do. Im really digging the overlapping of colors and the simplicity of the shapes. I gave this painting to Kelly but I obviously (hence 2nd picture) put on my wall to see how it would look.

I can't not lie..it is presidents day after all..but I liked it and almost kept it.

water color on archers cover paper mounted on tracing paper.

My sister

turned 23 this weekend! I have yet to upload pictures from this weekend
but here is a pic her friend took at her bday party of my lovely tiny sibling!

Happy Birthday Kel!

Everything I've Got

Here is this year's batch of valentine's cards I made this year. Very simple, just pink construction paper with some red acrylic paint. They were very fun to make and I hope they survive their trip in the mail!

Anyways..Here is a nice love tune thats not so traditional from the great Blossom Dearie:

Happy valentine's day everyone!

A folky open house
